Mizuho Corporate Bank

EUR
Comment: Consolidating under a new record high of 1.3930. Allow for more consolidation this morning and maybe for the whole day.

Strategy: Attempt longs at 1.3875, adding to 1.3800; stop well below 1.3700. Short term target 1.3925, then 1.4000 and 1.4200.

EUR/JPY
Comment: Squeezing slowly higher and yesterday’s close above 159.00 should add a little more bullish pressure.

Strategy: Attempt longs at 159.55, adding to 157.00; stop well below 156.00. Add to longs on a sustained break above 160.50 for 161.50 short term and maybe 164.00.

GBP
Comment: Dropping to the bottom of the Ichimoku ‘cloud’ as the pound is sold against all currencies. Expect yet more work between 2.0100 and 2.0300 today.

Strategy: Attempt longs at 2.0195/2.0150; stop well below 2.0000. Cover longs ahead of 2.0400.

JPY
Comment: Small signs of life as we inch higher. Expect something similar today.

Strategy: Possibly attempt small longs on a dip to 114.55, adding to 113.80; stop/reverse below 112.50 for 111.60. Cover longs ahead of 116.50.
